Meher Ramesh who made his debut in Telugu with Kantri film is currently directing Billa with Prabhas as hero. Anushka and Namitha are doing female leads. Prabodh (brother of Prabhas) and Narendra produce this film on Gopi Krishna Movies banner. Krishnam Raju plays a special role. Hansika Motwani who entertained the crowds with Desamuduru and Kantri is doing a special role in Billa. This film is a remake of Tamil blockbuster Billa which is based on Hindi classic Don.

‘Billa’, a Tamil film starring Ajith, Nayantara and Ramya in the lead roles, directed by Vishnu Vardhan, became a blockbuster hit.A remake of this film, starring Prabhas as the hero and Anushka as the heroine has been proposed to be made. In the direction of Meher Ramesh of ‘Kanthri’ fame, the movie will be produced on Gopi Krishna Movies banner.Plan is on to launch it on 9th October on the eve of Vijaya Dasami.Sources state that a major part of this film will be featured in the locales of Malaysia and Korea. Director Meher Ramesh is presently touring these places to single out the exquisite locales in these countries.Further, as Anushka is selected to reinstate the role played by Nayantara in the original version, Priyamani or Bhavana might be opted to play the role of Ramya.
